Due to a lack of space, I am having to dispose of this project which is about half finished.
We have taken a school bus which was used in Brisbane and started the conversion into a mobile home which were planning to use to travel around Australia.
The bus had been extremely well maintained, starts every time and has a good service history, and we believe was a good foundation for the project.
We have basically taken the top of the bus and raised it by 600 mm along with putting in a false floor, so allowing us to have more storage beneath the bus and enjoy a lower centre of gravity at the same time.
We have braced and welded a truss type insert into this 600 m extension and enclosed photographs to show that the job is been done correctly by a qualified welder with the certificate.
In the rear of the bus, we were playing to have a queen size bed, which folds up to get access to the motor and transmission as required.
We then have allowed for a full size bathroom with a shower, toilet vanity, etc.
The design allows for a benchtop which is approximately 3 m long and lounge opposite it, but this can be configured to whatever suits you.
Our design was based on only two people, and we wanted to be extremely comfortable while travelling.
We have recently upgraded the batteries and have another two batteries which we were planning to fit, which would be isolated to ensure we never had a flat battery.
We have purchased all the steel to complete the project and that is included in the sale price.
We also have too heavy duty, pull-out drawers, which we were planning to use for a barbecue and for general storage.
We also have several aluminium LPG bottles which we were planning to use to power the fridge, barbecue etc.
The motor and transmission are in very good condition and other than a small vacuum leak. The vehicle is in extremely good mechanical condition.
