WATM’s service department recently performed a 10-Year Major Inspection on a tired Pettibone Speed Swing 445E rail maintenance crane.
The customer, a major mining company, preferred to keep the scope of works to the mandated essentials, which WATM was happy to comply with without any compromises on safety and Australian standards. After the Pettibone arrived at WATM’s head office in Bayswater, it was stripped down to almost a bare chassis.
The Pettibone was then inspected, reassembled, certified, and tested. The refreshed machine was then on its way back to its happy owner, to carry another 7 years of solid service
